San Francisco, 8 May 2018 – Global events platform Eventerprise has today announced the launch of a $3 million raise with the support of Act 5 Ventures, a San Francisco Bay Area-based investment specialist and advisory firm. The raise will comprise of both a smaller convertible loan portion and a larger Series A component. In both instances funds will be utilized to drive Eventerprise’s US market expansion through sales and marketing activities and further product development.

Act 5 Ventures specializes in raising capital for early-stage companies, from seed stage to Series A, and is affiliated with several regional and global angel networks and independent investors. Under the mandate received from Eventerprise AG, Act 5 will act as lead investor and aggregator that combines funds from multiple investors into a single investment vehicle.

Act 5 is led by experienced entrepreneur and Angel investor, Peter Henry, who has himself founded more than a dozen companies, many of which he has successfully exited in a career spanning over 30 years. As a management consultant he has worked with prominent companies such as Charles Schwab, Wells Fargo, Mellon Capital, Argo Group, CSC/PMSC and Microsoft, while his growth strategies have been successfully applied in early-stage companies covering a diverse set of industries, including financial services, insurance, software, food and beverages, and consumer goods.

Henry emphasized Act 5 Ventures’ ability to increase early-stage investment success rates through its trademarked Smart Syndication process,

“In performing syndication formally, we handle the leadership details of identifying, vetting and introducing prospective companies and investors, formulating the structure and terms of the investment, serving as a beneficial intermediary between the syndicate investors and the company, and managing the syndicate through the life of the investment(s), including governance, reporting, distribution, divestiture, etc. This approach seeks the best outcomes for the investment, not merely favorable terms for the investor.”

In a detailed endorsement of Eventerprise, Henry highlights key factors that make the events platform an attractive investment, including a highly experienced and multi-skilled management team, the ability to run a distributed operation across multiple continents, and successfully concluding a rigorous financial and legal due diligence process in San Francisco.

According to Eventerprise Chief Growth Officer and co-founder, Birgit Thümecke,

“This is the ideal investment partnership to drive our platform’s further growth, since it focuses not only on targeting the right investors for our type of early-stage company, but comes with Peter and his team’s substantial experience and support structure. Their track record of de-risking investment through rigorous selection and active involvement speaks for itself.”

Eventerprise co-founder, Charlie Wright, also expressed enthusiastic support for the Act 5 agreement,

“We look forward to working closely with Peter and Act 5 in order to bring the Eventerprise platform to every aspect of the events industry across all locations in the US. The dual nature of this raise – convertible loans and Series A equity – offers a great opportunity for different types of investors with an appetite for early-stage involvement.”

The announcement of Eventerprise’s new equity raise accompanies the version 6.0 release of the events platform, as well the opening salvo of the company’s US market entry with its impending launch in Los Angeles.
