My name is Gladin Varghese, and I’ve recently completed my PostGrad Internship in the Business Development and Sales team at Eventerprise.
While studying my MBA in France, I grew curious about the various tools used in digital marketing. So to explore my curiosity and to gain exposure in the digital marketing sector I joined the EventerCamp PostGrad programme.
During my time here I’ve been able to familiarize myself with various email marketing tools like MailChimp and Sendgrid, and social selling tools like LinkedIn sales navigator, which has allowed me to gain better insights about our vendors. I’ve also learned more about global SaaS platforms, and what it takes to work with a diverse team. While running MailChimp and Sendgrid campaigns, I’ve been able to apply and improve the skills I learned while studying business analysis, and I’ve had to learn how to efficiently manage my time to ensure that I meet my deadlines.
Of all the projects I’ve worked on, the most memorable two would be the Sales Hero initiative and the various email marketing campaigns in which I was involved. The Sales Hero project entailed keeping track of the Sales Hero pipeline and ensuring that new Sales Heroes were adequately onboarded and equipped to work in accordance with the company’s values.
My greatest takeaway from Eventerprise is that every approach for generating sales must be continuously refined. I have gained a better understanding of the importance of engaging with contacts through email marketing campaigns, and the impact that various Call to Action (CTA) prompts can have.
This internship reminded me of the importance of a “can do” attitude. It really does take patience and perseverance to achieve your career and life goals.
