Young Gun Spotlight: Aquina D’Eramo

At the age of 22 most young adults don’t know what they want to do with their lives. They might have a general idea of where they want to be one day, but they have no real grasp of how to get started. I include myself in this category.

I studied Corporate Communications for three years at Varsity College. I decided to study this particular course because I had studied Journalism for a year at City Varsity and I thought that I could somehow use public relations, media, and journalism to my advantage.

With all of this in mind, at the end of my third year, I started browsing for opportunities that would help me immerse myself in a professional atmosphere. After browsing online for a couple of weeks, I came across a Content Marketing internship at a global events platform called Eventerprise. The position caught my eye, and I immediately applied. I got the position and started my EventerCamp Young Gun Internship on the 8th of January 2018.

When you are at varsity you learn a lot, but everything is theory based, and nothing is practical. By contrast, at Eventerprise you learn both theory and the practical application thereof, and since everything you do is hands on you can immediately implement the skills you are learning.

In the two months that I have been a Young Gun at Eventerprise, I have learned a substantial amount. Things that I will never forget and that will benefit me in any other field I decide to enter into one day.

Some of the projects I am busy with now include lead generation, content aggregation, influencer outreach, and creating infographics (like this one). These are only some examples of the tasks I’ve gotten to work on during my internship. At Eventerprise being a Young Gun doesn’t involve running around getting coffee for your boss; it’s all about hardcore focus and critical thinking.

Apply now if you think you the right fit for an internship at Eventerprise, and are ready to throw yourself into a legitimate professional atmosphere.
