The Cedarburg Guest Farm is situated between Kokstad and Matatiele in the foothills of the most Southern Drakensberg-Maluti mountain range. We cater for all, but families or groups planning a reunion or a get together will find us to be the ideal venue. Our summers are mild and winters quite cold, with snow often on the mountains and sometimes even on the farm.
For a tranquil, relaxing farm experience, B&B and self-catering accommodation you don't need to look any further. We're a quaint old farmhouse with an additional rustic rondavel/cottage located 1km from the main house that's needs, at least, a high-rider vehicle required to reach it. It has 5 bedrooms, sleeping 2 - 4 people each (max 14 people), 2 bathrooms sharing, a kitchen, lounge with fireplace and TV with SABC channels. The building features a fireplace inside and an outside braai.
We offer a very peaceful experience with a great atmosphere. We're perfect for family or group breakaways. There's even a family unit in the garden near the main house sleeping a maximum of 6 people. There are 2 bedrooms with bathroom sharing, an open plan kitchen/lounge with fireplace and SABC TV. There's an outside deck with a portable braai.
Our horse riding and guided outrides on the farm are very popular. The Boerperd ponies are great companions to the experienced and inexperienced rider. The horses are trained and bred by our son, Frits. Our venue offers you the opportunity to become a weekend farmer and count sheep, milk cows and feed cattle. The farm is ideal for walking and strolling about, mountain bike riding and quad bikes.
