Core Catering Supplies was established in 1998, aimed at servicing the exploding South African hotel and restaurant industry with their kitchen and tableware product requirements. The initial product range consisted mainly of imported glass and kitchen accessories but, throughout the ensuing years, the company continued to add new product groups and ranges, resulting in us today being a supplier of glassware, crockery, cutlery, kitchen smalls, equipment, plasticware, bar accessories, uniforms and the like, with the clear and continued emphasis on being an industrial food service supplier.
Where we used to import almost all product directly from the manufacturing factories all over the world, the vast scope of ranges required made efficient and consistent stockholding a difficult undertaking. Hence in 2009, we decided to maintain a few exclusive product lines and then structure deals with other importers for the remainder of products required. Although most non stock items can now be sourced with quick lead times, substantial quantities of all regular items are continuously kept in stock by each branch.
All in all, we have become the preferred choice for “one-stop shopping”, enabling their customers to place all their requirements with one supplier and thereby reducing time and effort. Through various affiliations with other related suppliers, we are also able to source and connect our customers with other suppliers for products currently not stocked by us. Complete turnkey solutions for new restaurants, hotels and bars have also become an important focus and with that, most certainly have again added more value to dealing with us.
Our strength in the market place lies in our ability to supply product and quantity thereof ex-stock and still maintain highly competitive prices. Qualified representatives are servicing all areas on a regular basis and are always available to spontaneously deal with their customers' queries and requirements. We have franchised branches throughout South Africa, with some areas being serviced by authorised agents, making us an ideal partner for other nationwide represented customers.
The large bulk purchasing of product for the group, has resulted in very keen pricing from all our suppliers, a saving that is passed directly on to our customers. These outlets have become a prime destination for any potential customer, due to the fantastic price points, ease of availability and highly attentive customer service by our well-qualified personnel.
