I have always had a passion for baking so, when planning my wedding, I decided to bake my own cake. Since making my cake sparked an interest in cake decorating, I began learning the art of sugar craft. After attending several courses at Squires Kitchen, my hobby quickly developed into a business as more and more people asked me to make their cakes.
In 2009 Heather’s Cakes was born. Since then I have been nominated for industry awards, created cakes for celebrities and had the pleasure of working with some of the top wedding suppliers in Scotland. I love working closely with couples to create the perfect cake for their big day. I believe that your cake should not only look good, but taste great. All of our cakes are made using the best quality ingredients.
Our bespoke wedding cakes are infused with delicious sugar syrups to make them extra moist. There is a wide variety of cake flavours and fillings available, from a classic vanilla sponge with buttercream and raspberry jam filling to rich chocolate sponge with chocolate ganache buttercream and lemon and poppyseed sponge with lemon buttercream and lemon curd filling to champagne infused sponge with buttercream and strawberry preserve. Carrot cake with vanilla buttercream, red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream, toffee sponge with toffee sauce and toffee buttercream to a vanilla sponge with Oreo truffle layer finished with vanilla buttercream.
