The Pot and Kettle Restaurant in Botha’s Hill, Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal is situated overlooking The Valley of a Thousand Hills. These Southern African hills have been a well-kept secret for many years. There seems to be a magnificent tranquility about these rolling hills, so named from the thousands of hills that line the horizon rolling towards the great Umgeni River, they are also enriched with centuries of history.
It is in these hills, situated along the Comrades Route, nearly halfway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg that you will find our quaint venue. We're wheelchair accessible and have ample secure parking. We have a large undercover seating area, an indoor area for those icy wintery days and a tranquil outside garden area for sunny days. Our menu covers a wide range of breakfasts, lunches, snacks and, of course, our famous homemade cakes. We have a fully licensed bar and offer a three-course Sunday buffet accompanied by live music.
We are becoming a popular wedding venue for comfortably styled, affordable and intimate country weddings. Our magnificent gardens and fantastic view set the scene for the unspoilt romance of the South African countryside. Knowing budget restraints, we offer personalised decor and homemade menus to suit each couple's individual needs.
With an archway set for sunset and panoramic views of the valley all around you, there is no better place to discover a piece of African magic. We have an undercover – yet outdoor style - reception area with a maximum capacity of 100 guests. We do all types of events such as 21st birthdays, corporate functions, conferences and any other celebrations you may require. Our team are passionate and will work with you to create the perfect event.
